Quote:
(KSDK) - KSDK NewsChannel 5 announced Thursday that the St. Louis Cardinals will be returning to their original broadcast home. KSD, as the station was called back then, first began broadcasting Cardinal games shortly after signing on the air nearly 60 years ago.

"Bringing back the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals to their original home is a perfect way to celebrate our 60th anniversary," said Lynn Beall, President and General Manager of KSDK. "We were the seventh television station in the entire country, and only two months after we began operation in 1947 we carried the first Cardinals broadcast.

This is pretty cool - it'll be neat to see the Cards back on KSDK. My dad works for KSDK, so this is especially exciting for me. Very Happy

If you have the local channels for St. Louis, then yes. KSDK is the NBC affiliate for the St. Louis area.

The CW was the only tv games I got, outside of the national broadcasts on Fox and ESPN. I'm really not happy about this

I don't like this one bit. Not one bit at all.

The returning World Champs give their fans a gift of less games on TV.

Great job folks.

The local NBC affiliate will air 20 weekend regular-season games, reuniting a partnership that lasted from 1947 to 1987. FSN Midwest will increase its schedule from the 110 games it had in 2006 to 130 games in 2007, putting 150 of the Cardinals 162 regular-season games on local television.

I thought that the last couple of years had 162 games televised.

My guess is the other 12 games are slotted for national television. I'm sure there are several Saturday games selected by FOX.

Nope - I don't think they've decided that yet.

I barely remember watching Cardinal games on KSDK. That's when I became a fan at the age of 5. It's nice to see that they're back on the original network. But, it sucks for an out-of-towner. I was hoping for a regional network. ala Comcast, TBS, and YES...

Yeah, my bro said that all of them will be televised. ESPN/fox will be picking up the other 12 games.

I'd like to see them all on fox sports midwest so that I can get rid of cable here in columbia mo.

Down here the games on WB11 were picked up on a local channel (out of LR). I'd hope they'd work some arrangement to get the KDSK games.

Ya, I get them here in Champaign but it's pretty bad news for a large percentage of Cardinal fans. Poor decision on the part of management to allow them that many broadcasts IMO.
