If Mulder comes back I think you send down Anthony Reyes to Memphis and get him ready for the roster expansion

Since Mulder's on the 60-day DL, he's not on the 40-man roster. Whatever move the Cards make needs to clear a slot on the 40-man before he can be activated. Sending Reyes (or anyone else) to the minors doesn't achieve that (and, as noted above, the AAA season ends shortly anyway).

The logical move is to place Encarnacion on the 60-day DL.

I hope Mulder comes in and smokes tomorrow so we can officially bump Wells out of the rotation.

Bwaaaaahahahahaha

He smoked alright. Rolling Eyes

Why does the Cardinal management insist on keeping this joker. Tomorrow will be no better with Maroth pitching. So much for even teasing ourselves with play off hopes.

(Is that better?)

Problem is he's doing the same stuff he did before he was injured. Let's face it he was never that good.

I'm glad someone else realizes this. Mulder continually gives up 6+ runs and the fans should be easy on the guy? How many times does it take to say enough is enough?

It's his first start back... relax.... even Mulder said he would be inconsistent. Calm down.

If he was only making 1 million a year I'm sure the Cards would have given up on him.....but he's not. The Cards have made an investment and they are trying to get SOMETHING out of it.

Yea I'll give you that. Even his first year wasn't bad. But Haren, since he's been starting, has always been the superior pitcher. It's just annoying.

Ya win some and you lose some.....when its all said and done I'm sure we'll be chalking this one up as a loss.

To add to that, it's not like he's facing teams in April. These hitters have been playing for 5+ months. Obviously, they will have the upper hand for probably the rest of this year. I felt that Carp would have been a "savior" if he came back, but not Mulder. He's strickly a "wait til next year" guy.

Geez, can we please get over it. Danny Haren isn't coming back, you can't undo the trade. The situation is what it is. Its his first freaking start! No he wasn't rushed back, and yes he will more than likely get better, maybe not this season but next.

Let us not remember, he's a year removed from a major surgery. Lets wait and see.
