I am not sure who said it, but one of the Fox broadcasters said "one of the few times that Cardinals fans will boo, either a home or visiting player, is out of respect"...what the heck does that mean?

Lol Troll? Me? How does me asking what "booing out of respect" means make me a troll? A troll is someone who come on and discredits a team for no reason, I do not do that. And it's not as if I am unknowledgeable about the Cardinals, I grew up in the St. Louis viewing and radio area, I know more about the Cardinals than alot of Cardinal fans. I actually give alot of the players props. I guess from the way the people on here bash So Taguchi and Jason Marquis, that makes them trolls as well? Just because I am not a Cardianl fan, that doesn't mean I am a troll.

You have been trolling for a while. Dissing TLR. Saying the Cards lack respect. Now asking a question with an obvious answer.

I never said Cards fans lack respect...and I dissed La Russa after the incident with Lo Duca during an intense series between our two teams, and I still dont like the way he handeled it, and I didn't ask a question with an obvious answer...I still dont know how you "boo out of respect". Notice how I never once came on here in the 2 games we won in St. Louis and said "hahahaha" or anything like that. I even said how I expect good things from Wainwright for the Cardinal orginization, even though I seem to be the only person who thinks he has a higer ceiling than Reyes. I am far from a troll.

Well, to answer a part of that question, it was McCarver who said that. Do you really think Buck would say something that asinine?

I dont think so, if they were it wasn't a very loud obnoxious boo or anything. That treatment is reserved for the Cubs, and even then it's not real out of hand. Booing is not all that common in Busch, as you all know. It was just a weird comment "one of the few times that Cardinals fans will boo, either a home or visiting player, is out of respect"...it really made no sense.

I think booing is such poor sportsmanship. I always hate to see the cardinals fans do it because we're thought of as such great fans. our team is always good enough without it, why bring ourselves down with that. It embarrasses me for the men who have worked hard for the organization and probably been traded when they haven't wanted to be to receive that kind of reception back to town. ex. tino martinez

Tino didn't work hard, maybe a little, but for the most part he whined and lamented about being away from NY. He wanted back in the Al and on the Yankees, and did not particularly want to be a Cardinal. He was upset that his job was ousted by Giambi. He did not put in two good years here in St.Louis, and he was not a hard working player. Did he deserve boos? Maybe not, but I for one was not happy to pay him about $7mil a season to whine about not being in NY and not giving it his all.

I also don't know how you boo out of respect. I mean, it seems to me if you are doing something respectful, you cheer. Like if your starter blew the game, but you are respecting the fact he tried, you cheer instead of boo. You only boo when you're perturbed off. What a stupid comment to make by a broadcaster.

i boo at home. not in the face of people that can do things i could not. i agree with the tino answers. i should have said edgar renteria too; although many applauded , many booed too and that embarrassed me for us. i don't think he wanted to leave.

He wanted to leave. Do you not remember the comments about he made about how he didn't feel like he was respected in St. Louis? That's why I booed him at his stellar return to Busch, going 0-fer and hitting into two twin killings.

we did not jump on any offers to him and he was insulted. we let his options go for too long. he stated he wanted to stay here, but we waited too late then money came in. i applauded him when he came back, he had a solid effect on the team. kinda like matheny but not as solid. i feel like it was our loss for both; however i love eckstein, and molina is capable.
