When the football season starts, will anyone doing something like a weekly guesstimator game in which people try to guess the winner of each game that week? _________________ If you don't like it, go on the internet and complain. |

In my role as unofficial game-producer, I can do that. Do you want it head-to-head straight up, head-to-head against the spread, or head-to-head straight up with a weighting system, where you get as many points as you put against the game? _________________ C70 at the Bat, updated 7/17

Straight up sounds good. I can never understand that points against the spread stuff. _________________ If you don't like it, go on the internet and complain. |

You could also accumulate wins throughout the season, kind of like the YNOT running stats. Justa thought. I am game for this. _________________ Official sponsor of Kyle McClellan, Driver of the Cardinal Cooler-Cycle |

Good point, Obie. Might do that as well. Maybe we can get some of the people that play YNOT to play. I'm proof that you can play these things and not know anything about football!
Just out of curiosity, have you ever done one of the weighted ones? _________________ C70 at the Bat, updated 7/17

Yes I have done a weighted "pool", but with this group, I think that would be over-kill. _________________ Official sponsor of Kyle McClellan, Driver of the Cardinal Cooler-Cycle |

I agree. It'll be a lot easier head-to-head, with a total points tally as well. _________________ C70 at the Bat, updated 7/17

I also like the Indians and on their official message board during the football season someone lists each game being played that weekend and everyone picks the winer of each game, no point spread or anything, just who wins and who loses. It's pretty fun. _________________ “I don’t mean to brag; I don’t mean to boast. But I’m intercontinental when I eat French toast.” |

CATB, that's probably what we'll do here, as well. I'll start working something up. _________________ C70 at the Bat, updated 7/17

OK, I've got a setup at this site. You can click on Week 1 to see a regular setup, and the totals and stats pages are loaded so you can see the plans for them as well. Let me know if there is something else you want to do with this! _________________ C70 at the Bat, updated 7/17

Bumping this up to see who's in. I'd like to have the same people playing every week to have some consistency, but if people want to join in late, that's fine too. _________________ C70 at the Bat, updated 7/17

Maybe what you could do is have mathcups you like one week Person1 vs Person2 whoever gets the most games right wins and gets a win to their record then next week Person1 Vs Person3 so on have a whole season _________________ Seat Cushion Night 2006: I was there! |
