NFL Guesstimator?

When the football season starts, will anyone doing something like a weekly guesstimator game in which people try to guess the winner of each game that week?

In my role as unofficial game-producer, I can do that. Do you want it head-to-head straight up, head-to-head against the spread, or head-to-head straight up with a weighting system, where you get as many points as you put against the game?

Straight up sounds good. I can never understand that points against the spread stuff.

You could also accumulate wins throughout the season, kind of like the YNOT running stats. Justa thought. I am game for this. Wink

Good point, Obie. Might do that as well. Maybe we can get some of the people that play YNOT to play. I'm proof that you can play these things and not know anything about football!

Just out of curiosity, have you ever done one of the weighted ones?

Yes I have done a weighted "pool", but with this group, I think that would be over-kill.

I also like the Indians and on their official message board during the football season someone lists each game being played that weekend and everyone picks the winer of each game, no point spread or anything, just who wins and who loses. It's pretty fun.

OK, I've got a setup at this site. You can click on Week 1 to see a regular setup, and the totals and stats pages are loaded so you can see the plans for them as well. Let me know if there is something else you want to do with this!

Maybe what you could do is have mathcups you like one week Person1 vs Person2 whoever gets the most games right wins and gets a win to their record then next week Person1 Vs Person3 so on have a whole season
